School Lunches
As a healthy school we request that parents provide a packed lunch for their child each day. Food should be contained in a clean container or bag. Enough food should be provided for the students morning-tea and lunch. Although the school has a number of drinking fountains the school can use, it is also recommended that all children bring a bottle of water to school.
Milk in Schools
Darfield Primary School in partnership with Fonterra provides all students with a small carton of fresh milk each morning. This is a great way to supplement the children's diet. However if your child is lactose intolerant or does not like milk you can withdraw your child from the programme.
Hot Lunches
Heated lunches are organised by the office every Monday and Wednesday during Terms 2 and 3.
Information is sent out to families in the school newsletter regarding this service.
Sausage Sizzle
Sausage sizzles are regularly held at school. The sausage sizzles are organised by our PTA. Sausage sizzle forms are sent home the week of the sausage sizzle. Fill out the form, place the form and the money in an envelope and have your child place the envelope in the collection box in the office.
