Uniform

After a period of consultation, the Board decided that a compulsory uniform was to be phased in during 2002, ready for full implementation in 2003.

The Board has chosen to allow flexibility about the style of the various garments which will comprise the uniform, so that families may purchase items from any supplier they wish to use.

THE UNIFORM IS:
Sports
Red polo shirt (sew on logo to be available)
Navy shorts (any style)

Basic Summer  —  the above plus
Navy slouch hat (terms 1, 4) (sew on logo)
Plain navy sweatshirt (any style)  and/or
Plain navy polar fleece or vest (any style)

Girls Extra Summer  (optional)
Blue gingham dress (any style – white collar acceptable)
Navy cardigan
Blue gingham culottes

Basic Winter – as for summer plus
Red long sleeved skivvy, polo or shirt
Plain navy pants (any style) e.g. track pants, cargo, leggings, tights.

Girls Extra Winter  (optional)
McPherson tartan pinafore or skirt (any style)

Note:
Parents may choose any combination of the above.
The Sports Uniform is to be worn for all inter-school sports events.
The navy slouch hat and logos are sold from our office.  Wearing a hat is compulsory in Terms 1 and 4. 
New families to the school are encouraged to purchase the uniform as soon as their  resources allow.
We please ask that all uniform items are clearly named to avoid difficulties with lost  items.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE SCHOOL UNIFORMS LOCALLY?
Darfield Primary School Hall on the first Tuesday of the month 2.30pm—3.30pm Also the Darfield Drapery stock summer dresses and shorts.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE MATERIAL FROM?
Darfield Drapery has material for the gingham dresses, winter pinafore and sweatshirting.

IF I SEW, DO YOU HAVE PATTERNS?
As part of the Darfield Primary School Shop, patterns will be available for loan.

WHAT ARE THE PRICES? WHERE HAS THE SCHOOL PURCHASED THEIR SUPPLIES?
The prices are as at January 2010. We have purchased these from Postie Plus.
